Every AI provider charge flows from your Mac directly to the provider on your account. We never see your API keys, your usage, or your invoices.
The same applies to audio. When you choose OpenAI for speech recognition, TakeCallOS sends audio from your Mac to OpenAI's API — the same call any other OpenAI customer makes, directly to OpenAI's servers, under your account. TakeCallOS is not a relay. There is no Polsia server sitting in the middle receiving a copy of your call data.
You control which providers receive your audio. You can switch providers or disable AI entirely — calls will still route through your iPhone normally.
TakeCallOS uses standard macOS Phone Continuity — the same feature that lets you answer iPhone calls on your Mac in a regular phone call. There is no virtual number, no SIP gateway, no carrier-level interception, and no Twilio account involved.
Your callers see your real iPhone number. Incoming calls arrive on your iPhone and mirror to your Mac over your local Wi-Fi network. TakeCallOS intercepts the audio on-device before it reaches the Mac microphone — the call never routes through a different carrier or a cloud recording service.
Because we use Continuity rather than a cloud telephony layer, we have no carrier-level visibility into your calls. We cannot see call metadata, call duration on a per-user basis, or anything else that a SIP provider would log.
Local data: All call recordings, transcripts, and AI memory are stored on your Mac in the TakeCallOS application support directory. To delete everything, quit TakeCallOS and remove the app and its support files. Nothing is synced to a cloud backup on our end.
Export: In-app export (Settings → Export Data) lets you download your call history, transcripts, and AI memory as JSON or plain text. You own this data — export it at any time, no account required.
License data: To delete your email address and license key from our server, email privacy@takecallos.polsia.app with your purchase email. We'll delete your record within 7 days and confirm by reply.
